RF Herrera Lights Up Dirty Reds for 5 RBIs as Northern Lions BC Extend Lead
The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the San Mateo Dirty Reds on the road at Lang Park by a score of 11-6. Northern Lions BC right fielder Jorge Herrera was named player of the game after he was 2 for 4 with a double and a walk, while adding 5 RBI. The win gives the Northern Lions BC a - advantage in the best-of- Silver League Championship.

Herrera's key contribution came in the top of the seventh when he sent a 1-2 cutter into left-center for a bases-clearing double. It put the Northern Lions BC ahead, 11-3.

"We're happy," Herrera told reporters after the win. "When you're in the playoffs, you've got to treat every game like it could be your last."
