Baby Blues Trip Elephants in Extras
|
Quebec City overcame a superlative game from Hyosuke Matsui to beat Gibtown, 10-3. The Gibtown pitcher took player of the game honors in a losing cause. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball. The Baby Blues, at 36-59, sit in 11th place in the Menard's R.
Quebec City used the timely hitting of Fernando Soto to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 15th inning to put the Baby Blues on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Soto.
