Elephants Deal Rhinos Painful Loss
|
The Gibtown Elephants picked up a win at Wrigley Field, knocking off the Redwood Rhinos, 5-4. On the mound for Gibtown was right-hander Bill Culshaw, who played a pivotal role in the win. The Elephants now have a record of 54-31 with the win over Redwood.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 12th inning, when Gibtown second baseman Omar Wingo, facing Ramón Ramírez, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Elephants the 5-4 win.
"This joint was rocking," said Culshaw.
