Beavers Jolt Fire with Late Rally
|
Starting pitcher Shan-bo Kang pitched well enough to help the Northwest Territory Beavers beat the Franklin Fire by the score of 9-3. The win was Eduardo López's in relief. His record improves to 6-0. Biff Pocoroba took the loss for Franklin. The 5th-place Beavers have won 11 straight.
Northwest Territory used the timely hitting of Blake Camden to capture the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Beavers on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
"We came out aggressive," said Beavers manager Tom Carlson. "We came out swinging the bats."
