Twinsburg Makes It 6 Straight with 4-3 Win
|
The Montgomery Biscuits got a superb performance from pitcher Matt Rodríguez, but the Twinsburg Tigers still won the game, 4-3. Rodríguez was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball. Twinsburg reliever Miguel Garza picked up the win to move to 2-0. Steve Perkins suffered the loss. Shane O'Toole earned the save for Twinsburg, his 9th.
Twinsburg used the timely hitting of Mike Fisher to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Tigers on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Twinsburg manager Barrett Abbott.
The winning streak has now reached 6 games for the Tigers.
