Ballard pitcher Félix Aiza gave the Biscuits all they could handle, but in the end, Montgomery left Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium with a 4-3 win. Aiza allowed 2 earned runs on 7 hits over 5 innings. Chao Khu nailed down his 10th save. The 5th-place Beavers have lost 5 straight games.
Had Bob Loblaw not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Loblaw hit a run-scoring double. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Biscuits.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Loblaw told the Montgomery Today.
