Hudsonville Hexed: No-Hit by Alou
|
Fernando Alou of the Amarillo Submarinos was the King of the Hill today at Terriers Ballpark.
The Amarillo starter dominated the Hudsonville Flanderses, giving up zero hits in his 6-0 victory.
"The toughest part was the last couple of innings," Alou recounted after the game. "You know you have a no-hitter going, and so does everybody in the ballpark. That was the hard part, keeping focused and concentrating while your heart is pounding."
Alou recorded 9 strikeouts and 2 walks in the game.
Alou has gone 5-2 this season with an ERA of 2.62 and 61 strikeouts in 55 innings pitched. Other clubs are hitting .243 against him.
