Fire Come Back Late to Top Submarinos

Franklin starter Ramón Flores pitched effectively against the Amarillo Submarinos at Lawmen Ballpark. The right-hander led his team to a 3-2 win. Franklin reliever Freddy Howe picked up the win, upping his record to 2-3. Fernando Alou shouldered the loss. The Fire go to 24-45, putting them 9th in the Silver R.
Rubén Plumey, who is tied for 7th in the SR in hits with 80, contributed to the Franklin win with a solo home run in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the shortstop had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 RBI.
Amarillo manager Kenny Billings said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
