Cougars Win at Ogallala, 4-2
|
The Ogallala Octopi went down to defeat to Mark Kirk and his Valley View teammates. The final score was 4-2 in favor of the Cougars. With the win, Valley View goes to 50-46, while the Octopi fall to 31-65.
Valley View used the timely hitting of Myron Richardson to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Cougars on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Getting the win feels nice," said Kirk. "More importantly, I had a good game."
