The Ellesmere Island Snowpeople got a stellar performance from pitcher Amadi Azagba, who handcuffed the Ogallala offense en route to a 3-1 win at The Igloo. Azagba went 5 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 4-4. With the win, Ellesmere Island has a record of 36-49. Ogallala falls to 27-58.
Early in the game, right fielder Tuputahi Cani had a run-scoring double for Ellesmere Island. It was his 10th double of the season and put the Snowpeople on top, 1-0.
