Extra-Inning Win by Northern Lions BC over Outlaws
|
The 2036 season is getting ugly for Nashville.
Behind a solid performance from shortstop Ramón Padilla, the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC defeated the Nashville Outlaws, 7-4. Padilla went 3-4 with 3 singles and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI for the Northern Lions BC. The win was credited to Marnix van Rijn in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Onson Sweemey took the loss.
Thunder Bay used the timely hitting of Domingo Altamiraño to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Northern Lions BC on top, 7-4. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We take it day by day here," said Padilla, "and today was a good one for us."
Thunder Bay is 5th in the Silver League with a record of 25-21.
