Crowley Cajuns starter Mauro Sandín was in fine form against the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople at The Igloo, leading his team to a 6-1 win. Sandín got the win, improving to 4-0. He allowed 5 hits and walked 0 over 6.1 innings. Sandín allowed no earned runs. Earning his 3rd save of the year was Jesús García.
Crowley used the bat of Alex Fields to capture the win. The designated hitter jacked a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Cajuns ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"The vibe's good," said Crowley manager Pedro Rodríguez. "We've got to keep it going."
