Morán Helps Long Island Cruise to 12-3 Win
|
The Long Island Ducks had no problem beating the Surprise Shockers, 12-3, at ďAbbots Ballpark. Sergio Morán led the way. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 5 runs and scored once for Long Island. Kun-young Cho was the winner. Over 6 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 8 hits, with 1 walk and 6 strikeouts. The Ducks improved to a lofty 67-13.
In the first inning, Morán had a grand slam home run for Long Island. It was his 11th home run of the season and put the Ducks on top, 4-0.
"The name of the game is scoring runs," Morán said. "We did a good job of that today."
