Crowley starter Héctor Sanz pitched effectively against the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople at The Igloo. The left-hander led his team to a 3-1 win. In 6.2 innings, Sanz surrendered 10 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Crowley has now won 4 straight, while the Snowpeople have lost 3 in a row.
Crowley used the timely hitting of Francisco Rojas to capture the win. The catcher socked a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put the Cajuns ahead, 1-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was an important one.
"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Crowley manager Pedro Rodríguez.
