Victory Over Snowpeople Takes Long Island to 66-12
|
Long Island Ducks starter Joop Els was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople, 7-1. The first-place Ducks have their sights set on making a deep playoff run.
Long Island took a 6-1 lead on Allan Colston's 2nd home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Ellesmere Island pitcher Foster Lang in the bottom of the eighth.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," Colston told the Long Island Bulletin.
