Crowley Cajuns starter Héctor Sanz was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Surprise Shockers, 6-3. Marcus Morgan got credit for the save for Crowley. It was his 15th of the year. Today's win puts Crowley at 40-30, while Surprise falls to 30-40.
The result might have been different for Crowley, had it not been for Rod Sarkies. The first baseman produced a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to put the Cajuns ahead, 2-0. For the game, Sarkies had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Sanz told the Crowley Times.
