Harbor Whales Solve Baby Blues, 3-2
|
Greenport beat Quebec City at Ballpark of Robbins, eking out a 3-2 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Zuo-lin Liang, who earned player of the game honors. Liang went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 4-1. The Harbor Whales go to 43-23, putting them first in the Menard's R.
Greg Ge had a clutch at-bat with no one out in the bottom of the sixth for the Harbor Whales. Coming up with runners on 1st and 2nd and Greenport trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run double.
"I really like what we did out there today," Liang said after the game.
