Sheridan Deer starter Takuro Soma turned in a sterling performance against the Bompton Baby Lakers, leading his team to a slim 2-1 win. The Deer are now 27-25, while the Baby Lakers fall to 28-24.

Shing Li was the walk-off hero for Sheridan. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Deer third baseman hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Soma.
