|
The Sheridan Deer grabbed a 6-1 win over the Quebec City Baby Blues at Dylan Park. Sheridan first baseman Sam McConnell was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk to earn player of the game honors. The winner was Hsin-ta Yin in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Jesús Ortíz took the loss. Sheridan occupies 8th place in the Menard's R at 19-20.
McConnell had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the fourth inning, when he hit a run-scoring single. The Deer went on to win.
"We had a nice day," said Sheridan skipper Scott Alexander.
