The Sheridan Deer defeated the Quebec City Baby Blues, 9-4, at Dylan Park today. Leading the charge for Sheridan was catcher Shao Qigang. He was 3 for 5 with 2 doubles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. With the win, Sheridan goes to 18-20, while the Baby Blues fall to 15-23.
Sheridan used a timely hit from Eugene Bradley to get the win. The shortstop delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the fourth inning to put the Deer on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Bradley.
