Elephants Best Baby Blues in Pitching Duel
The Gibtown Elephants beat the Quebec City Baby Blues, 2-1 at Wrigley Field, in part due to third baseman Pu-feng Zhou, who nabbed player of the game honors. He was 2-3 with 2 doubles and a walk. Gibtown reliever Kevin MacIvor picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Jesús Ríos took the loss. The Elephants improve their record to 15-10 with the win over Quebec City.

Carsello Scruggins had a big run-scoring double for the Elephants in the bottom of the third inning. With Gibtown leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a forkball from Jesús Ríos and stroked the double to right. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Elephants ahead, 2-0.

Zhou called the triumph "a good team win."
