Hotspur Academy Beat Baby Lakers in 11
|
Phoenix beat Bompton at Field of the Browns, eking out a 5-4 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Phat Tra, who earned player of the game honors. The win gives the Hotspur Academy a record of 5-5.
Late-game drama came in the top of the 11th inning. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, the batter, Carl Bailey, hit a single. It helped Phoenix seize the win.
"To not win that game stings a little bit," said Bompton manager Chua-kah Liu.
