Biscuits Continue Skid Thanks to James, Lead Sox
|
The Indiana Lead Sox beat the Montgomery Biscuits, 11-5, at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium. Indiana second baseman Gil James earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 4-5 with 4 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Indiana has now won 4 games in a row.
With Indiana leading 6-4 in the top of the sixth, James came up to bat against Montgomery pitcher César Torres. James hit a fastball to center for a 2-run single. His 57th hit of the season put the Lead Sox on top, 8-4.
