Beavers Come Up Short at Hudsonville
|
The Hudsonville Flanderses topped the Ballard Beavers, 3-2, with youngster Olkhovsky Gennadiyevich playing a key role. Gennadiyevich went 3 for 4 with a triple and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times for the Flanderses in the win. With the win over Ballard, the Flanderses improved to 40-22.
In the first inning, Gennadiyevich had a run-scoring triple for Hudsonville. It was his 4th triple of the season and put the Flanderses on top, 1-0.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Hudsonville skipper Altti Salo.
