Otters Shut Out Tigers
|
Getting an impressive start from Dave Raspberry, Tulsa beat Twinsburg by the score of 7-0. The winning pitcher was Raspberry, now 5-2. He tossed 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 8. The Otters improved to a lofty 42-18.
Tied up with the Tigers in the bottom of the fifth inning, the Otters got a boost from first baseman Albert Porter. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Porter saw a full count cutter from Tom Lewis and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Tulsa on top, 1-0.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Porter told the Tulsa Gazette. "It's as simple as that."
