Beavers Reel Off Another Win
|
Ballard starter Félix Aiza had a strong outing against the Franklin Fire at Field of the Sunchasers. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 5-1 win. Aiza, the winner, moves to 5-3. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 4 walks. Jaime Rúbio earned the save for Ballard, his 5th of the year.
In the bottom of the third inning, third baseman Pedro Quezada came through big-time for the Beavers. With Ballard trailing 1-0, he belted a solo home run.
"We'll savor this win," Quezada told the Ballard Daily, "then get ready for the next game."
Ballard has now won 6 straight.
