Extra-Inning Win by Beavers over Beavers
|
Getting an impressive start from Sake Bravenboer, Ballard beat Northwest Territory by the score of 3-2. Ballard reliever Wilbur Carson picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Kane Duckering shouldered the loss. The Beavers saw their win-loss record go to 24-27. At the same time, the Beavers fell to 22-29.
Ballard won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With one out and Kane Duckering on the mound for Northwest Territory, left fielder Tokaji Heida hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Beavers fans to their feet.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Ballard skipper Leonardo Sánchez.
