Losing Streak Continues for Beavers with 4-2 Loss to Fire
|
Franklin turned a good effort from starter Biff Pocoroba into a win over the Northwest Territory Beavers at Beaver Town. The final score was 4-2. Freddy Estrada earned the save, his 5th, for the Fire. Northwest Territory now has a 11-game losing streak.
Rubén Plumey was vital part of the Franklin win. He was 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk. In the top of the fifth with two out, Plumey hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 3-1, in favor of the Fire.
"Everyone's kind of edgy right now," said losing manager Tom Carlson, "but nothing a couple of wins wouldn't cure."
