The Indiana Lead Sox topped the Montgomery Biscuits, 5-2, in USSL Rookie action at The Lead Mine. The player of the game was Indiana pitcher and Delmas, South Africa native Kipchoge Lacchelo. The Biscuits, now 8-20, have lost 4 straight.
The Lead Sox got a big at-bat from center fielder Armando Silva. For the game, Silva went 3 for 4 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 27th hit of the season gave Indiana a 3-1 lead.
