Biscuits Hope Win Turns Around Slow Start
|
Montgomery beat Indiana on the strength of starter Júlio del Bosque's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a 4-1 win. del Bosque, now 1-1, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 9 hits, while striking out 4, walking 1, and allowing no earned runs. Chao Khu locked down his 4th save.
Montgomery center fielder Joël Pesci made his contribution to the Biscuits cause with a run-scoring triple in the bottom of the fourth inning. For the day, Pesci was 2-4 with a triple.
del Bosque told a Montgomery Today reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
The Lead Sox fall to 5-9 and continue their lackluster start in 2036.
