Northwest Territory Beats Amarillo, 7-2
|
A nice crowd turned out to see the Northwest Territory Beavers and Amarillo Submarinos clash at Terriers Ballpark.
The Northwest Territory Beavers topped the Amarillo Submarinos, 7-2, with youngster Félix Guillén playing a key role. Guillén was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Beavers in the win. The Beavers keep rolling, raising their record to 3-0.
In the bottom of the seventh, Ricardo Urby stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Submarinos were trailing 7-2, but had the bases loaded. That's when Luca Boccasino made a terrific pitch and Urby popped out. Gone was the dream of a Amarillo comeback.
