The Ellesmere Island Snowpeople got a good effort from starter Diyaa Ababneh in defeating the Ogallala Octopi at Nebraska Aquarium. The final score was 5-0. Ellesmere Island currently is in 7th place in the Premier R at 28-36.

In the top of the third, Walke Mehoff hit a run-scoring double for Ellesmere Island. The 4th double of the season for the Ellesmere Island left fielder put the Snowpeople on top, 1-0.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Mehoff told the Ellesmere Island News.
