The Valley View Cougars wasted an inspired, 8-inning effort from starter Ronald Hall, falling 2-1 to the Ogallala Octopi at Nebraska Aquarium. Jerry Williams got the win, improving to 3-6. He worked 7.1 innings, giving up 1 run on 9 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 0. Even with the win, the Octopi have a dismal 15-38 record.

Skip Giblet had a clutch at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for the Octopi. Coming up with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Ogallala trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run double.
