Cougars Jolt Cajuns with Late Rally

The Crowley Cajuns got a superb performance from pitcher Wan-fu Quan, but the Valley View Cougars still won the game, 6-4. Quan was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 6 innings allowing 2 runs. The winner was Arthur Furber in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Melvin Martínez took the loss. Magnus Belli recorded the save for Valley View, his 12th of the season.
The outcome might have been different for Valley View, had it not been for Yong-ho Jheon, the 17-year old right fielder . Jheon stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put Valley View up, 5-3. For the game, he was 3 for 5, including 1 double and 2 singles.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Jheon.
Valley View currently is in 4th place in the Premier R at 22-22.
