Ducks Topple Interns with Late Rally
|
Long Island beat Capital Hill at Ducks Park, eking out a 3-2 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Rodrigo Alarcon, who earned player of the game honors. The winning streak has now reached 7 games for the Ducks.
Sean Cox was the walk-off hero for Long Island. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Ducks right fielder hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Alarcon told the Long Island Bulletin.
