Both teams had their chances, but the Crowley Cajuns eventually prevailed at Nebraska Aquarium.

The Crowley Cajuns grabbed a 6-5 win over the Ogallala Octopi at Nebraska Aquarium. Crowley center fielder Momoru Sato went 4 for 5 with 4 singles. He drove in 2 runs to earn player of the game honors. Labeeb bin Muneer picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-0. Amadi Azagba was tagged with the loss.

The game was at a stalemate until left fielder Dusty Hunt came to bat in the top of the eighth. Facing Ogallala pitcher Amadi Azagba, he hit a 1-0 sinker for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Crowley on top, 6-5.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Hunt said.

The Octopi, now 6-20, have lost 7 straight.
