The Ducks grabbed a win, 3-2, at ïAbbots Ballpark, overcoming a fine effort from Surprise pitcher Tim Eastham. Eastham went 6 innings and allowed no earned runs. Long Island is now 16-5, Surprise 8-13.

The outcome might have been different for Long Island, had it not been for Hisashi Koumura, the 20-year old center fielder . Koumura stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 14th inning to put Long Island up, 3-2. For the game, he was 3 for 6, including 1 double and 2 singles.
