3-2 Win by Ducks Continues Hot Start
|
Fans who came to Ballpark of Baxter watched the Long Island Ducks and the Fort Knox Centennial fight to the finish.
The Long Island Ducks got a stellar performance from pitcher Tynan Brown, who handcuffed the Fort Knox offense en route to a 3-2 win at Ballpark of Baxter. Brown went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 0, and struck out 9. His record improves to 2-0. Gerardo Hernández earned the save, his 1st.
Slavik Akentiev, the Long Island shortstop, contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to make the score 3-0, Ducks. For the game, Akentiev went 3 for 4 with 3 singles.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Fort Knox manager António Molina.
Long Island, now 12-4, is setting the league on fire so far.
