Snowpeople Hope Win Turns Around Slow Start
In a low-scoring tilt between the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople and the Valley View Cougars, Lloyd Stinson was the difference-maker. The Ellesmere Island right-hander earned player of the game honors in the 2-0 win. Fernando Gonzáles earned the save, his 4th, for the Snowpeople. Ellesmere Island is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 5th win in 15 games.

Ellesmere Island used the timely hitting of Aguostinho Antunes to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put the Snowpeople on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It was a solid team effort," said Antunes after the game.
