The Capital Hill Interns picked up a win at Ballpark of Baxter, knocking off the Fort Knox Centennial, 2-0. Starting pitcher Aki Kiridoshi, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. The Interns have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 3rd win in 9 games.
Capital Hill used the bat of Cheng-ho Bu to get the win. The third baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Interns ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Bu.
