Cajuns Fall Short, 1-0, at Ellesmere Island
|
Bruce Cameron never let the Cajuns get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his splitter, to pitch the Snowpeople to a 1-0 win. The loss drops Crowley to 5-3.
The Snowpeople beat the Cajuns in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out double Aguostinho Antunes produced in the bottom of the fifth. Batting against Crowley pitcher Juichi Kanno, Antunes gave his team a 1-0 lead when he hit a run-scoring double.
"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Cameron.
