Centennial Win at Crowley, 4-0
|
The Fort Knox Centennial got a stellar performance from pitcher William Bruce, who handcuffed the Crowley offense en route to a 4-0 win at Titans Ballpark. Fort Knox reliever Marcos Zambrano picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-0. Rens Verheijen was collared with the loss. Losses have been rare for the Cajuns, who are now 3-1.
Fort Knox used the clutch hitting of Dong-woo Kim to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to give the Centennial the lead, 2-0. For the game, Kim had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Crowley manager Pedro Rodríguez.
