The Capital Hill Interns and Ellesmere Island Snowpeople brought some excitement to Alouettes Ballpark.

Ellesmere Island second baseman Thom Scribbner played a vital role in his team's 7-5 triumph over Capital Hill. He went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI for Ellesmere Island. Ellesmere Island reliever Lúcio Marrero got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Hwa-pyung Yi was tagged with the loss. Getting the save was Fernando Gonzáles, his 1st.

Scribbner came through with some timely hitting for Ellesmere Island. With the score 4-4 in the top of the fourth and two down, Scribbner hit a 1-0 fastball for a 2-run double. His 1st double of the season made it 6-4, Ellesmere Island.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Scribbner.
