The Capital Hill Interns ushered in the 2036 season with a win versus the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople at Alouettes Ballpark. The final score was 4-2. Starting Pitcher Clarence Miller, who is rated as the 65th best prospect by BNN, was named player of the game.
The game was on the line with two out in the top of the ninth inning, but Mathis Vial didn't flinch. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Ellesmere Island trailing 4-2, Vial retired Diederick de Nooyer to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Vial, with a wink.
