The Washington Generals picked up a win at Washington Park, knocking off the Mancelona Torch, 4-1. Starting pitcher Manuel Ruíz was an essential part of his team's success. Ruíz picked up the win for Washington, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 8-7. Miguel Romero finished the game for Washington and earned his 2nd save.
Michael Ruscoe put Washington in front, 3-1, when he took Francisco Josafat downtown. His solo home run came with two out in the bottom of the sixth. It was his 1st home run of the season.
