South Beach right fielder Doug Cole had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 6-5, to Provo at The Ballpark on the Beach. Cole went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Tao Seto got the win, improving to 4-8. He pitched 5.2 innings, giving up 7 hits and 5 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 0. Mark Jacobson notched his 27th save in 28 chances.
Esteban León, who is tied for 9th in the PA in runs scored with 48, helped out the Provo cause in the top of the third inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the shortstop was 1-5 with a double.
"This was a good win for us," said León. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."
Provo's record now stands at 55-38, placing them third in the Premier A.
