Fans who gathered at Carrier Field saw a good contest between the South Beach Blaze and Delaware 1787 BC.
The South Beach Blaze overcame a good performance by Delaware catcher Raoul de Gilde to knock off Delaware, 6-4, at Carrier Field. de Gilde was 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Delaware now has a 5-game losing streak.
Jason Graham, who is tied for 2nd in the PA in hits with 100, aided the South Beach cause with a 2-run double in the top of the seventh. For the game, the right fielder was 1 for 4 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Graham told the South Beach Citizen.
