Guzzlers Stay Hot, Beat Torch

The Galesburg Guzzlers topped the Mancelona Torch, 7-4, in USPL Single A action at Torch Field. The player of the game was Galesburg first baseman and Ferris, Texas native Brendon Lewis. The win was credited to Yasujiro Takayama in relief. His record improves to 5-8. Francisco Josafat took the loss. The Guzzlers, now 26-58, have won 5 in a row.
Galesburg used the clutch hitting of Luis Eguilior to capture the win. The catcher drilled a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to give the Guzzlers the lead, 4-0. For the game, Eguilior had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
"We need to keep playing good baseball," Lewis told the Galesburg Citizen.
