The Galesburg Guzzlers picked up a win at Torch Field, knocking off the Mancelona Torch, 4-0. Starting pitcher Ángel Martínez, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. The winning pitcher was Martínez, now 1-4. He tossed 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 5. The Guzzlers, at 25-58, have now won 4 straight.

Galesburg used the timely hitting of Luther Greene to capture the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Guzzlers on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.

"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Mancelona manager Jeremy Dennis. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
