Mota 3-4, Mango Move to 46-30
|
The Provo Mango defeated the York Revolution, 9-6, at York Park today. Leading the charge for Provo was right fielder George Mota. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Provo reliever Matt Koller picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Ricardo Morales shouldered the loss. Tony Castro finished the game for Provo and earned his 2nd save.
Provo took a 9-4 lead on Mota's 7th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which he hit off Willard Kanjuchi in the top of the eighth, propelled Provo to the win.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Mota told the Provo Bulletin.
The Mango now own a record of 46-30.
